FOR YOU, Children of Light!
I gift you my book “On the Path of Light,” which I was helped to write by our Lord and by those who cared about the essence of the Teaching of Jesus Christ. Perhaps this book will help you find your way through the value system of this world so that we do not lose ourselves in darkness.
I dedicate this book to those who have become disappointed with Christianity. I want you to discover WHY this happened. When you read the book and its supplementary texts (in virtual form), you will understand that
Christianity as a religion is not identical to the Teaching of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was not a Christian, but a Teacher. Just as Buddha was not a Buddhist, but a Teacher. Religion is a collection of dogmas and church laws created by priests. Over the course of millennia, the Word of Jesus Christ was “corrected” by all those who used the authority and power of the church. Now we see what they have done. Churches have become empty. Priests themselves claim that “Europe does not need Christianity,” but they remain silent about the answer to “WHY IS IT NO LONGER NEEDED?”
Priests created many different churches and to this day disagree among themselves on many dogmas. The Word of Jesus remained alive in the church’s “rejected,” non-canonical gospels, apocryphal writings, and the works of mystics. I begin my book with the thoughts of Jesus Christ written on the front cover. These are the most important themes for reflection about WHAT KIND OF GOD you believe in, TO WHOM you pray, and WHAT you worship. Jesus Christ said that He does not need the honor of this world. He needs your LOVE. Therefore, through this introduction I wish to spark your interest in the book “On the Path of Light.”
I decided to organize all the texts onto “shelves” and leave you my archive. Perhaps someone will wander here one evening and read them. I know one thing: matters that have been studied for a long time must be archived. Perhaps someone will expand upon them, perhaps someone will discover them as a treasure.
How cold and dull the history of Christianity would be without the Nag Hammadi Library, discovered in 1945 in a small town in Upper Egypt. Thirteen leather-bound papyrus codices were found buried in sealed clay jars. Thanks to those people who felt responsibility for the Word of Jesus Christ and decided to preserve it for us. These are the works of the early Christians (Gnostics).
It was precisely the Gnostics who allowed thousands of people to hear the Living (secret) Teaching of Christ. They proclaimed that the path to liberation passes through gnosis, that is, the knowledge of the spiritual world. They taught that every human being is the heir to a divine spark.
Remember that Jesus proclaimed to people the TRUTH about their Spiritual nature. Think about it: if a human being were only a body, our life would have no meaning or value. God’s Truth is not in the Bible, as Christian orthodox believers claim, but WITHIN US. From this arose, and still remains, the great conflict between Gnostics and Pharisaic orthodox believers.
For the vast majority of people, spiritual experience is “some kind of mysticism.” Yes, indeed, it belongs to mysticism, but it should not be confused with magic, occultism, or shamanism. Mysticism is not a deviation from mental normality or a delusion. It is a path toward the experience of Spiritual Reality.
If your mind rejects this, you will never know WHAT IT IS or WHO YOU ARE. Spiritual experience cannot be described in words. One may live (as the vast majority do) in the fog of selfish interests, or one may “push them aside” and ask:
WHO AM I?
What is this world in which I live?
Once, something strange happened to me: I became “attached” to a book radiating light, and for 24 years now I have been “working” on this subject every day… both theoretically and practically. Everything is described in the book.
After publishing it, I continue my work — carrying out a philosophical, historical, and spiritual “revision” in order to understand WHO blocked my/our path to the Light, which Jesus Christ called God.
I discovered that there were many holy people, mystics, and ordinary believers who believed in the Light of the Spirit as TRUTH. Their thoughts and deeds shine like diamonds in the history of Christianity. Yet somehow the church does not like to speak about their mystical experiences. Therefore, few Christians know the names of Meister Eckhart, Jacob Böhme, Saint Teresa of Ávila, and many others.
Not only Christians sought Light (enlightenment), but also yogis and Buddhists. All Gnostics know that SPIRIT-GOD is one for all, and no one can deny this.
Perhaps it seems to you that Jesus lived on Earth a very long time ago? Yet when one analyzes the history of Christianity, one realizes that everything is alive as if it were YESTERDAY. Its history has not ended — it still moves people today.
With my book, I did not intend to teach you or to lead you somewhere… I simply wanted to reveal one direction of the invisible, inner life, along which moving makes life gentler, brighter, fuller, and more beautiful.
I have read many books by authors who sacrificed their lives, in the fullest sense of the word, in search of That Light. Over 24 years, I have gathered a considerable library. I introduced some of those authors in the book as well. I am infinitely grateful to them!
Secretly, I hope they will also “infect” you with the search for Light within yourselves. That “work” is not exhausting — sometimes it is even very pleasant.
